Classrooms

6 weeks to 2 years (Possums)

During this time, our Educators develop bonds with our Babies, establishing trust through nurturing, individual attention, and conversation.

This is all done throughout our daily routines of mealtimes, nappy changes and meeting sleep needs. We also have time for lots of fun exploring, developing our Fine and Gross Motor Skills through sensory and creative experiences.

Our little ones also delight in interactions., developing language through stories, songs, finger plays and music.

1.5 to 2.5 years (Joeys)

Our Junior Toddlers see more of an introduction to group routines for eating and resting at the same times.  This brings increased socialisation opportunities to our day through mastering our autonomy, sensory exploration and language development.

As in all our rooms, through lots of attention and conversation, our Joeys thrive on being challenged that little bit further in the Creative Arts, Fine Motor and Gross Motor strengthening experiences.

Our favourite times of the day involve stories, songs, music and movement where we love to sit together and create joyous moments with our Educators.

2+ to 3+ years (Wombats)

Our Senior Toddlers Room is always a busy place of learning and love.  You can expect to find us most days learning in our outdoor environment as that is where we love to be, experimenting with messy play, cooking or enjoying sensory fun and learning from water play. It brings a smile to our faces listening to all the imaginative play happening as the children further develop their language skills.

We also spend lots of time reading stories and enjoying music and movement together.  With this age group comes big feelings as our little ones are developing new skills in many areas, including thinking, communication and listening.  We are mastering independence through daily routines and learning all about how much we can achieve.

Our Toddlers also become introduced to incursions and visitors to the Centre and have the opportunity to become involved with Little Big Sports Soccer Development Programs.

3 to 4 years (Echidnas)

Our Junior Pre-schoolers begin the journey of our two-year School Readiness Program.  Our Program is guided by the National Quality Framework, The Early Years Learning Framework (2009), child interests, needs, abilities and the Centre’s Philosophy and Goals.

Through our play-based Curriculum focusing on Fine Motor Skills and developing the child’s sense of agency, our daily routine assists in helping the children find a sense of belonging. When children are comfortable and confident in their environment, they will thrive and become engaged in learning through play.

Our learning encompasses the Natural World, Literacy and Numeracy as we are surrounded in our print-based environment.  This age group also sees the children introduced to excursions as they begin to create understandings of their community through learning outside of our walls.

4+ to 5+ years (Platypus)

Our Senior Pre-schoolers are provided with a stimulating and engaging program through our environment that promotes autonomy, collaboration, respect, diversity and enjoyment as we prepare our children for Primary School.

Our daily Preschool Program encompasses Gross Motor and Fundamental Movement Skills Learning, Yoga, Gardening, and the PALS Program (Playing and Learning to Socialise).

We also introduce Social Stories to provide opportunities to discuss and learn about basic social skills such as how to make friends, personal space, feelings, emotional regulation and taking turns.

Fees & Inclusions

Fees

Fees for our centre are due and payable at the beginning of each week and must be paid at least 2 weeks in advance by a direct debit system.

At least two weeks' notice is required when giving notice of your child's departure from the centre.

Fees are charged and payable for all the days your child is enrolled at the centre. This includes public holidays, sick days, vacation days and any other days your child may be absent.
Sports
Whether you are a varsity or recreational athlete, you will have an opportunity to play like a professional at University. It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.

Meals

Healthy, nutritionally balanced meals are included in the daily fee at our child care centre in Kingscliff.

We have an experienced cook onsite who prepares the meals on a daily basis. Our centre has a four-week rotating menu, which is reviewed seasonally.

In addition, breakfast is offered to any children who are dropped off before 7:30am and an additional light snack may be offered to those children who are picked up late, if required.

Extra Curricular activities

Children in the Wombats (2 to 3+ years old), Echidnas (3 to 4+ years old) and Platypus (4 to 5+ years old) room can be signed up to join in Little Big Sport (soccer) classes on Wednesdays.
